Cellia Vasquez was born in the Bronx, USA but has lived in Colombia since she was twelve and identifies as Colombian.  Cellia is a member of Teusequillo Mennonite Church in Bogotá.  She has graduated from the National University of Colombia in Bogotá as an Anthropologist and is currently doing a master’s degree online in Human Rights.  In her studies, Cellia has both read and written much on the topic of conscientious objection to military service in Colombia.  Cellia enjoys being in rural settings and loves all kinds of Colombian music.  With the Seed program, Cellia is living and working in the region of Chocó.
